What we collect

• Emails you send us. If you write to us, we receive your email address, name if given and the content of your message.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time) for security and reliability.
• Consent preferences. Your choice in our cookie tool is stored on your device. See Cookie Controls.

The question composer on our contact page runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type there is transmitted to us unless you choose to email it.

Why we use it

We reply to messages and consider suggested topics on the basis of our legitimate interests in running an editorial site. We keep server logs for security, also under legitimate interests. Optional cookies, if any, are used only with your consent.

How long we keep it

Correspondence is kept for up to 24 months, then deleted unless an ongoing conversation needs it. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days.

Sharing

We don't sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who host the site and our email, under contracts that require them to protect it, or where the law requires. Where providers process data outside the UK, appropriate safeguards are used.

Your rights
